Where required, we expose and inspect the fixings of anchor posts and lifeline bases through the waterproofing, reinstating the detail on completion. One visit covers the periodic inspection of anchors, lifelines, guardrails, ladders and walkways under BS 7883, BS EN 795 and PUWER 1998, and the condition inspection of the roof beneath them, picking up the interface defects that single-discipline inspections miss, such as failed sealing at post bases, ponding around fixings and unsupported walkway feet.

The same visits deliver the planned maintenance that manufacturer guarantees depend on: clearing outlets, gutters and debris, removing vegetation, checking laps, details and terminations, and completing minor repairs before they become leaks, alongside the maintenance and re-certification of the safety equipment. Localised repairs to single-ply, reinforced bitumen, liquid-applied, mastic asphalt and GRP waterproofing; re-sealing and re-detailing of penetrations and anchor post bases; outlet, gutter and flashing repairs; and upgrades to failing details. Where repair is no longer economic, we advise on overlay versus strip-and-replace, specify the replacement system and deliver the works with manufacturer-backed guarantees.

Because we also install and certify fall-protection equipment, the removal, re-fixing and re-certification of anchors, guardrails and walkways is coordinated within the same package. Works are carried out by teams trained and equipped for work at height, with roof-edge protection in place and minimal disruption to occupiers. On completion the roof is handed over compliant, with the O&M manual, guarantee and updated asset records lodged in the AssetSafe Portal and the client notified.
